Hope Your Day Is Extra Special --Paper Play Sketches 36

February 26, 2017

Playing along with the Paper Play Sketch today.

Such a fun sketch!  I will be using this one again!

My card is created on a white card base.  The woodgrain background is cut using the SugarPea Designs Rectangle Dies.  The flower panel was cut with the same dies.  The arrow strip is added behind the circles.  The frame and the circle were cut using the SugarPea Designs Circle Dies.  The little fox is from the Your Next Stamps Woodland Cuties.  I colored him with Copic Markers and cut him out with the matching dies.  Wink of Stella was added to the fox for shine and orange enamel dots were added for fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!!

It is very rare that I can incorporate both challenges in one post, but this week it was a WIN, WIN!

Our lovely LeAnne is the hostess this week at
The Paper Players!   Her sketch is so fun and there are so many ways to interrupt it.  The colors at Sunday Stamps are so pretty.  Please use a minimum of 3 of the colors for your card.  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created on a white card base.  A Tangerine Tango background was cut using the MFT Blueprints 20 die.  The top white layer is cut using the same die set.  The flowers are stamped on Tangerine Tango and Bermuda Bay card stock using the Freestyle Florals  by Mama Elephant.  The leaves were stamped on Old Olive card stock.  The matching dies were used to cut out the flowers and leaves.  Wink of Stella and black enamel dots were added in the center of each flower.  The sentiment is stamped in black Memento ink.  After I took my photos, I realized my sentiment was in the wrong place.  :(((

I asked LeAnne to forgive me!  I am leaving to go to Indiana to visit my family and didn't have time to make another card.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from both  design teams and I hope that you will play along with our challenges this week.

Throw Kindness Around Like Confetti-Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #87

February 25, 2017

Time for play along with the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge!  The theme is "KINDNESS"!  I love it!

My card is created on a white card base.  I found this fun scrap in my pile for the background.  It looked like confetti to me.  I used the SU heart dies to create my shaker element.  I added a lot of colorful sequins inside.  The sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo using the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness  stamp set.  The word thanks was cut out 3 times using a die.  Glossy Accents was added for shine.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Hope this card made you want to do something kind today!

I'm So Hoppy We Are Friends! FMS 276

February 25, 2017

It's a gorgeous day in Atlanta, GA!  I found a few minutes to play along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I love the sketch this week.

My card is created on a white card base and the next layer is Melon Mambo card stock.  The background was created using Nuevo Peony Pink and  Nuevo Aquamarine mousse.  It was so fun working with these two products.  A polka dot stencil was used, too.  The little bunnies were stamped on Neenah Solar White paper and colored with Copic Markers.  The Hoppy Friends stamp is from Your Next Stamp and I used the matching die.  I added Wink of Stella to the bunnies.  A strip of grass was cut using the Lawn Fawn Meadows die using a scrap of green card stock.  The sentiment is from the same set.  This card is made with love for someone I Love!

I hope my card made you smile!  I love it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Sympathy --PP #332

February 19, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players.  The lovely Laurie is our hostess this week and she has a fun Clean and Simple Challenge for all of us.

We can't wait to see what you create.  Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card so, that narrowed down the sentiments I could choose from.

My card is created on a white card base.  I used a few pieces of DSP that I found in my box for this card.  I do not know where they are from.  SO sorry. I used the wood grain piece as a background.   The feathers were cut using a rectangle die and a long rectangle strip was placed across the middle of the card using a coordinating pattern.  The Winnie and Walter The Big, The Bold The Comfort die was used to cut the word "sympathy".  I cut it out five times for dimension.  The heartfelt was stamped using the matching stamp set.  I added a few sparkling clear sequins to finish my card.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

I want to thank all the Design team members at the challenge for inviting me to play along with them!  They are such a talented group of designers that inspire me every week!

Dancing Queen--PP 3331 and SSC146

February 12, 2017

It's Sunday and time for new challenges at The Paper Players and Sunday Stamps!

It is very rare that I can incorporate both challenges in one post, but this week it was a WIN, WIN!

The super creative Nance is our hostess this week at The Paper Players!  She wants us to use Blushing Bride, Smokey Slate and Copper Foil for the color palette.  The Sunday Stamps sketch was perfect for what I wanted to create.  My first thought was flowers with  this color combo.  I decided to step out of the box and use a favorite set of mine from Clearly Besotted.  I LOVE hippos and this stamp set makes me happy!

My card base is white.  I used a Blushing Bride background and then added a Smokey Slate panel cut using the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies.  A strip of Copper Foil was added across the front of my card.  A white oval was cut using an oval die and I sponged Blushing Bride ink around the edges.  Three of the hippos from Trouble in a Tutu were stamped and colored with Copic Markers.  I cut them out using the matching dies.  Wink of Stella was added on the hippos.  A few pink enamel dots were added for fun!

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from both  design teams and I hope that you will play along with our challenges this week.

LOVE--Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #84 NBUS #10

February 5, 2017

I am rushing to get this posted before the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge closes!  I think I have one hour left to post.  YIKES!

I love a good Tic-Tac-Toe board and my lovely friend LeAnne is the hostess this week.

I am also entering this card in the NBUS Challenge by the multi talented Darnell!  She is so funny and I just love to visit her blog!  By the way, NBUS means "Never Before Used Schtuff"!

My friend,  Laurie Schmidt at Stamping Up North created a card that I loved.  I had to order the dies.  I CASed her card but recreated it to match the board.  I used the middle column. Red, Baker's Twine and a Circular Element on my card.

This card reminded me of the 70's.  I love all the retro things from this time period.  I used a white card base.  I cut the rectangle and circle with stitched dies.  I found scraps in my Valentine box for the background and circle.  The Love die, the flowers and the hearts are from Cherry Lynn Designs.  I added an enamel dot and Baker's Twine to complete my card.

THANKS for stopping by.  I am off to watch the Super Bowl.  Sure hope the Atlanta Falcons win tonight!

Happiness Is Coming--FMS273

February 5, 2017

It's Super Bowl Sunday.  Most people are probably at parties, but I am in my craft room.  I am not a huge football fan, but since I live in Atlanta, I will "RISE UP" and watch the game and cheer for the Falcons!  SO proud for our city!  It is a huge accomplishment and so many people are having fun!  That makes me smile!

Today I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I was excited about the sketch.  I had a very special card to make and it was perfect for the idea I had in mind.

A very special friend is expecting a little girl.  She has been a wonderful inspiration to me.   I wanted her to know that I am praying for her and I am "THINKING PINK"!!!!!

My card base is white.  I cut a pink rectangle and a white rectangle using SSS stitched Rectangle dies.  I used a piece of watercolor paper and watercolored some different shades of pink.  I mixed several shades of red and pink together to get the three tones.  I cut them using the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies.  The pregnant girl is from Stampingbella-Baby Carriage.  I colored her with Copic markers and used the matching die to cut her out.  Wink of Stella and a few clear sparkling sequins were added.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

SO happy you stopped by my blog today!

Love Mail--PP330

February 5, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at  The Paper Players!

I am happy to be the hostess this week.  Our theme challenge is, "Will You Be My Valentine"?  Make a Valentine for someone special to you.  It can be for a parent, partner, spouse, bf, gf, child, grandchild, neighbor or someone that makes your life happier.  Have fun!  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created for my Sweetie!  I hope he will like it!

My card is created on a white card base.  I distressed the top part of the card with blue ink.  The two green panels were cut using the Lawn Fawn Hillside Border dies.  I inked the edges with Mowed Lawn Distress ink. I created the mailbox using the Lawn Fawn Happy Mail Die using Kraft paper and Early Expresso card stock for the post.  The little envelopes were made with a few scraps of Valentine paper using the same die set.  The envelopes actually open!

The two little birds were stamped from the Love Letters stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  I colored them with Copic Markers.  I stamped the sentiment using different stamp sets.  "Love mail" is from My Creative Time Puffy Hearts Just For You.  I just had this Happy Valentine's Day in my stash.  Sorry, not sure where it is from.   I added three small red hearts for fun.  Wink of Stella was added on the birds for shine.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.
