You Are Amazing--SSC145

January 29, 2017

It 's Sunday and time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps!

We have a beautiful color palette for you.  We can't wait to see what you create!

Use a minimum of 3 colors and a neutral of your choice.

Challenge Guidelines

  • Please Link up a new project created for this challenge (no back links).

  • Please provide a link to us or use the graphic above in your post.

The challenge will end on Friday, Feb. 10th @ 6pm EST.

My card is created on a white card base.  I used a Simon Says die that I purchased a year or so ago.  I couldn't find a link for it on their site.  I cut it twice.  Once with Calypso Coral card stock and once with Calypso Coral polka dot paper.  I pieced each section into the frame.  The sentiment is cut out three times with black card stock using the  Avery Elle  word die  "Amazing".  I stamped the "you are" from the January Hero Arts  monthly  stamp set in Memento Black ink.  Three sparkling clear sequins were added for shine.

You can see what the rest of the DT created for inspiration by clicking on their names below. I hope you will check out their blogs and then come and play along with us.

Stop & Smell the Roses--PP329

January 29, 2017

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

Our lovely Joanne, is the hostess this week.  She has a fabulous sketch for all of you!  We can't wait to see what you create.

I must admit, this sketch had me stumped!  I was really at a loss.  Then, my Hero Arts monthly kit arrived and I knew just what I wanted to create.  Unfortunately, this kit has already sold out.

My card base is white.  I used two different Valentine DSP papers that I had in my stash for the background.  Both pieces were cut using the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The bouquet is created using the items in the kit.  It even included the matching inks.  I cut white squares for the background and popped the pink hearts up with dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped in black Memento ink.  I added a pearl to the bow and Wink of Stella on the flower blooms for shine.  A few more pearls were added for fun!

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

Sending You Lots of Love--FMS 272

January 25, 2017

Today I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  When I first looked at the sketch, I was a little puzzled.  I wasn't sure I could come up with an idea.  I absolutely love what the DT did with this sketch.  They are all so creative!

I started looking through the mess on my table and decided to use the new Lawn Fawn Happy Mail  mailbox die for my card.  I used the die and cut the mailbox from Very Vanilla and the post from Crumb Cake.  The little flag is Real Red.  I attached a pink heart brad I found in my stash.  The flag actually moves up and down!

I used Tim Holtz Distress inks to create the blue for the large circle and the grass.  I cut the circle with the SugarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Circle die.  The grass is cut using the Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders die.

I cut the two envelopes from the Happy Mail die with Valentine paper.  You can actually open each letter for a message. The sentiment is from My Creative time and stamped in Memento Black ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!  I love to hear from you, so please leave a comment!

When It Snows--Stamp Ink Paper #83

January 24, 2017

I don't have a lot of my "to do" list this week, so I have a little extra time to play in my tepee.  I saw the sketch at The Stamp Ink Paper Challenge and decided to play along.  I have a very dear friend that was just diagnosed with breast cancer.   :((  I wanted to make a card for her that was uplifting and seasonal.  She lives in MI and it is winter there!   I hope it brightens her day!

My card is created using the Simon Says Snow Much Thanks card kit.  I used a white card base.  I covered the front of the card with the Cornflower Blue card stock included in the kit.  Next, I stamped the snowflakes on the blue gray parchment paper using the white shimmer ink.  I heat embossed the snowflakes with white embossing powder.  I stamped a large snowflake on the parchment paper and trimmed it using a stitched circle die.  I mounted this on a circle cut with the same die in the cornflower card stock.  I loved this sentiment.  It was perfect for encouragement.  I did change the shape of the sentiment in the sketch and made it a lot wider and shorter to be able to use this sentiment.  The stamp set for the snowflakes and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp Frozen Fractals.  A variety of snowflake sequins are included in the kit and added to the card for fun and shine.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I appreciate you stopping by my blog!  Leave a comment, I love to hear from you!

Fabulous! --The Card Concept #65

January 24, 2017

Today I am playing along with The Card Concept!  I love this challenge and I am always inspired by all the DT cards.  I really enjoy seeing the variety of styles and learn so much from their examples.

My favorite is big, bold colors, and this challenge has it!  I used the colors and the inspiration from the vintage photos for my card.

I created a Clean and Simple card.  This is a rarity for me because I love lots of layers and stuff!  LOL!

My base card is white.  I added a piece of orange paper on the top.  Then, I created the watercolored background using Picked Raspberry Tim Holtz Distress ink.  I decided to stamp the Martini Lady  from Suzy Says Stamps on white paper and fussy cut her for a darker image.  It is very difficult to achieve this image if you just stamp on the watercolor paper.  I wanted her to be the focal point.  The sentiment is created by using Spiced Marmalade Distress ink on watercolored paper and then using the "fabulous" word die from The Ton and cut it out three times.  I added pearls for her necklace and earrings.

I hope you enjoyed my card today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Friends--PP #328

January 22, 2017

It's Sunday!  That means it is time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

The lovely Jaydee is our hostess this week.  She is the queen of marvelous floral cards.  She wants to see flowers on your CAS projects this week.

My card was created to celebrate my very best friend's (from college) birthday!  That means we have been friends, FOREVER!  She loves turquoise.

I used a white card base today.  I created a blend of Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress inks to make the background frame on watercolor paper.  The water color panel on the front is trimmed with a rectangle stitched die.  The flowers from WPlus 9 Doddle Buds are probably one of my favorite stamp sets.  I used my Zig Watercolor markers to color the flowers in different shades of blue and green.  I used the dies to cut the front flower out and popped it up with dimensionals.  I also added Wink of Stella to the flowers for shine.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from our design team and I hope that you will play along with our challenge this week.

Sending a Whole Lot of Love Your Way--Sketch Saturday #447

January 21, 2017

It's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Sketch Saturday!

Our sponsor this week is  Digi Stamp Boutique.  The prize is a $10.00 gift card for the winner.  We sure hope you will play along with us!  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card is created using the Cute Love Panda digi stamp.

My card is created on a white card base.  The top layer is red and cut with a rectangle die.  I used some Valentine paper for the XOXO layer and backed it with black.  The digi Cute Love Panda was shaded with a Copic Marker-C1.  I added a heart on the side and covered it with Glossy Accents for lots of shine.  Three black enamel dots were added.  Wink of Stella was added on the red hearts.

Merry Christmas-Reindeer-Merry Monday #231

January 19, 2017

Today I am playing along with The Merry Monday Challenge.  I love the idea of making Christmas cards all year and this challenge makes me keep to the plan.  Check out their blog for lots of fantastic inspiration!

This week the challenge is Reindeer!  I knew I had to play along.  I have several stamp sets with reindeer and it was difficult to decide which set to use.

My base card is white.  I used the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies by SugarPea Designs to cut the background papers and the white rectangle.  The deer are stamped and cut out using the Avery Elle Kitsch Christmas stamps and dies.  I colored them with Copic Markers.  The sentiment and black snowflakes are from the same set and stamped in Memento Black ink.  Wink of Stella and white gel pen were added for shine and detail.

Thanks for stopping by!  Let me know what you think.  I love to hear from you!

Sending A Whole Lot Of Love Your Way-- NBUS Challenge #8

January 18, 2017

I am so excited to make a card to link to Darnell's NBUS challenge!

I found her blog a few years ago, and I LOL every time I read it.  Not only is she talented, but her writing brings such pleasure to many of us in the card making world.  She is warm, vibrant and very supportive to all card makers!  She encourages us with her warm comments and wit!  BIG HUGS, Darnell!  XX

The NBUS challenge is so much fun for many reasons.  She requires that you use "Never Before Used Stamps-Stuff"!  We all buy things that we never seem to find time to use.  But, this time, she has a theme to go along with the challenge.

Well, this was a challenge for me.  I am so glad she asked us to step out of the box.  I loved coloring with colored pencils on Kraft.  It was my first attempt and I really enjoyed the process.  Now, I know I will do this again!

I just received this stamp set Heart Bouquet from My Favorite Things the other day.  I was so excited to ink it up.  I trimmed my Kraft paper with a stitched rectangle die and stamped the image with Memento Black Ink.  I had a variety of colored pencils in a container and pulled them out.  I added Wink of Stella on the hearts and her black Mary Jane's.  She makes me smile!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

Don't forget to stop by Darnell's blog and check out all the wonderful inspiration.

I Love You This Much--Stamp Ink Paper #82

January 17, 2017

Today I am playing along with the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge!  I had an idea the second I saw their theme.  I just love the natural elements on the cards!

My base card is white.  I used the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle die from SugarPea Designs on a piece of woodgrain DSP in my stash.  I also found a piece of red woodgrain paper and used the Notched Heart Journal die from Sugar Pea Designs.  The fox is from Sugarpea Designs-Foxy Friend.  I colored him with Copic Markers and fussy cut him.  I added three of the barn wood hearts from the notched heart journal die on the tummy and the sentiment.  I created a black frame banner for the sentiment.  Wink of Stella was added to my Foxy friend for shine.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!!

Seize The Birthday Challenge has the theme  "Anything Goes", so my card is perfect for their challenge, too!  I have never linked a card to four challenges before!  WOW!

My card is created on a white card base.  I used the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches to cut the black background.  The white stitched squares were cut using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Wafer Squares.  I found a scrap of red and white polka dot paper and used the MFT Pinking Edge Square to cut the pieces behind the pandas.  The Clearly Besotted Cheering For You stamp set and  dies was used to create the cheerleaders.  Copic Markers were used to color them.  I added Wink of Stella for shine.  The sentiment was stamped with Versa Fine ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I JUST LOVE YOU!--FMS 269

January 8, 2017

I am suppose to be cleaning my craft room, but got side tracked when I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I just had to play along!

My white card base came alive with the Valentine DSP strip and the heart border.  MFT I Heart You image was stamped on Neenah Solar White and colored with Copic Markers.  Glossy Accents were added on the heart on the book, her hair barrette and her shoes.  I paper pieced the book with the same DSP as the strip on the side.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  A few sparkling clear sequins were added for fun.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Have a fabulous day!

I Adore You!--PP326

January 8, 2017

It's Sunday and time for the first challenge in 2017 with The Paper Players !

The Lovely LeAnne is our hostess this week!  She has a fabulous challenge for all of us!  We are "Going Green"!  We want you to recycle an item to use on your card.  It can be a recycled embellishment, a ribbon, a flyer from your mail or anything you find to use on your card.  We can't wait to see what you create!

We also want to welcome our new Guest Designers, Crystal, Valentyna and Deanne!  We are so excited to have them join us!

My card is created on a white card base.  I found an old piece of Valentine paper in my stash and used it on my background.  I stamped the Stampingbella stamp, Bonnie Loves Bows image on Neenah Solar White paper and colored her with Copic Markers.  This Valentine if for my Granddaughter, Victoria.  She loves purple!  Lots of Wink of Stella was added for shine.  Clear sparkling sequins were added for fun.  I added  recycled white twine to wrap around my card and added a bow. I found this twine on a card I saved.  It was perfect to complete this card.

So happy you stopped by my blog today!  Please leave a message!  I love to hear from you!
