Love You More Than Coffee--SSC119

The challenge will end on Friday, Feb. 12th @ 6pm EST.
This challenge will run for 2 weeks.

My base card is Cherry Cobbler card stock.  The next two layers are Very Vanilla and Basic Gray card stock.  The top layer is Crumb Cake card stock that I trimmed with the SUgarPea Designs Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I sponged the edges with Early Expresso ink.  My card features the new SugarPea Designs-Caffine Addict Stamp Set.  I stamped the coffee splatters in Early Expresso ink.  The sentiment was stamped in Early Expresso, too.  I stamped the coffee bean heart in ink and then I cut out all the coffee beans individually using the  SugarPea Designs-Coffee Words dies.  I glued each bean over the stamped heart.  Early Expresso card stock was used on the beans.  I cut the sentiment "coffee" out five times in Cherry Cobbler and adhered them together for added dimension.  Wink of Stella was added on the sentiment and on the beans for shine.

Happy Valentine's Day! --PP280

January 31, 2015

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!

This week the multi talented Jaydee is our hostess.  She has a fabulous Tic-Tac-Toe board for us to play along with.  I must admit, this is probably my favorite type of challenge.  The projects are always creative and unique!  We can't wait to see what you design!

Now, you know I could never resist, Pink, Girly and Die Cuts. I have been saving this stamp for just the perfect challenge!  Well, this is IT!  My daughter in law was the feature twirler at Georgia Tech during her college days.  She was an amazing twirler, so I knew she would adore this card.

I used a variety of Valentine papers I had in my stash for the background.  The heart journal die is from SugarPea Designs.  Melon Mambo card stock was used for the journal.  I cut a white circle from SugarPea Designs-Zig Zag Stitched Circles and sponged Melon Mambo ink around the edges.  The precious twirler is from Artistic Outpost-Cutie Pie stamp set.  I stamped her in Momento Black ink on Neenah Solor White card stock and colored her with Copic Markers. I fussy cut her and her puppy to add to my stitched circle. She is attached with dimensionals   I also stamped the twirler on the pink and white hearts paper and cut her jacket out and paper pieced it.  Lots of Wink of Stella was added to make her shine!

The sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo ink and a  My Favorite Things-Fishtale Stax Die was used to cut the banner.  I added  a few of the Melon Mambo hearts from the journal die and covered them with Glossy Accents.  This card just makes me smile!

Fabulous YOU!--cQc #326

January 30, 2016

Today I am sharing a card that I made for a very dear friend's birthday.  She is very special to me!  The colors at Colour Q were just perfect for her card.

My base card is white.  The next layer is Old Olive card stock.  I created the background paper using the Brushstrokes stamp from Stampin' Up! using Chocolate Chip ink.  The flowers are from Altenew, "Peony Scrolls" set.  I heat embossed them in white embossing powder and colored them using Zig watercolor markers.  A rectangle was cut in the background panel and stamped with Wisteria Wonder using  the Gorgeous Grunge stamp from Stampin' Up!

I cut five "Fabulous" sentiments from the die from The Ton.  The "You" is stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  It is from a retired SU set, Painted Petals.  A few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added for fun.  Wink of Stella on the peonies adds extra shine.  I also added Wink of Stella on the sentiment!  I love the way this card turned out!  Don't you love when that happens!

THANK You for stopping by my blog today!  I love to hear from you, so please leave a comment.

Have a great weekend!

Elegant Eggplant card stock was used to created the background on a white card base.  The plaid paper was in my stash and was perfect to make my little bunnies pop!  I colored them with Copic Markers and fussy cut them.  They were attached with dimensionals on white circles.  The sentiment was stamped in black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  A few purple enamel dots were added for fun!  Wink of Stella was added for a little shine to these precious little bunnies.

Oh Happy Day--The Challenge #58

January 25, 2016

It's Monday and time for a new challenge at The Challenge!

4. Anything that is offensive to myself or to my viewers will be removed.
5. Please only link to 3 other challenges plus our challenge for a total of 4 challenges.
6. Have fun!

I absolutely loved the colors in this photo.  I used the inspiration to make a birthday card for my son.

I created this card using Distress Inks by Tim Holtz.  The background piece of watercolor paper is distressed with Cracked Pistachio ink.  Then, I used another piece of watercolor paper and rubbed the Blueprints Sketch, Peacock Feather and Spiced Marmalade inks on a My Favorite Things, On the Diagonal Cling Stamp.  I spritzed a little bit of water on the stamp before stamping it.  I really like the look of this background!  The retired Stampin' Up! stamp set "Starburst Sayings" was used to create the sentiment and little spirals. The same colors of ink were used.  The Starburst dies by Stampin' UP! were used to cut out the pieces.  They are attached using dimensionals.  I added one white enamel dot in the center of the spiral.

Thank you very much for stopping by my blog today!  I love to hear from you, so please leave a comment!

The multi-talented  Nance is our hostess this week!  She has an amazing sketch for us!  Oh, so many possibilities!  We can't wait to see what you create!

My card base is Garden Green.  I used some fun papers that I found in my stash for the patterns.  Very Vanilla card stock is used for the top panel.  The stamp set is from Paper Smooches-My Guy.  I stamped it on Neenah Solar White card stock and colored is with Copic Markers.  The golf cart was cut out using the matching dies from Paper Smooches-My Guy Icon Dies.  The circle die is from SugarPea Designs-Zig Zag Circle Dies.  I used Tim Holtz Distress inks (Mowed Lawn and China Mist) to distress the background.  The golf cart was attached with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp--Tee Time. I stamped it in Momento black ink on Very Vanilla and cut the banner with a die from My Favorite Things-Fishtail Flag Layers Stax Dies.  A few cork elements were added for fun.  Wink of Stella was added on the golf clubs and wheels for shine.
