#thxs ,#loveit, #happy --SC103

April 29, 2015

Oh WOW!  It is POURING at my house.  So much for tennis or my walk. :( SO, --- I ran into my craft room with my coffee and created a card for the Stampin' Celebration Challenge!

I wanted to thank a very special friend for doing a big favor for me.  We stay in touch via the phone every day, so I decided to use my cell phone from Sugarpea Designs "Hashtag Hipster"and heat embossed it with Tempting Turquoise. (her favorite color)

Always great to sent someone a little sunshine!  I made a matching envelope to finish my card and left the inside blank to write a note.  I still love to write personal notes inside all of my cards.  I feel like it is a dying art.

If you have a minute, please leave a comment!  I love to hear from you!

Happy Hump Day to All!

BELIEVE--Merry Monday #156

April 27, 2015

I am back from my visit in Indiana and able to spend a few minutes in my craft room today.  This is one of my favorite pictures taken while I visited my Mom.  We went to Indiana University to see my niece ride in the Little 500 Bike Race.  I am so proud of her.

                                    Bloomington, Indiana-IU campus

My niece, Sara Kathrine is in the middle.

My card is for the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge.  Wendy is hosting the challenge that calls for projects with pinecones, greens and the word "Believe"!

I used one of my favorite retired stamps by Stampin' Up! "Ornamental Pine."
It is such a realistic stamp and it always shines on any card.

I used a new die set by My Favorite Things-Blueprint 14.  I can see using this set for many cards.  I just love all the possibilities this set offers. The retired "Under The Tree" DSP by Stampin' Up was cut with the square die.  The base card is Very Vanilla.  (10" X 5" scored at 5") I stamped the pine needles in Always Artichoke and the pinecones in Early Expresso on Very Vanilla after using the die for this shape.  I added white gel pen to the pine cones.  Early Expresso ink was sponged over the top of the pines. I then stamped Versa Mark over the top of the pines and covered in in clear embossing powder.  It is very difficult to see the shine, but it really is pretty!.

The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz set, "Christmas Words."  I masked the other words and only stamped "Believe."  It is stamped in Early Expresso.  Linen Thread and an Early Expresso button was added.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I love to hear from you!

Wishing you a fabulous day!

I wanted to do something different this week.  My card is very masculine and fun for any guy on his special day!  I used the background stamp "Backgrounds Rule."  I stamped on Soft Suede card stock with Soft Suede ink.  The rest of the papers are from the same paper pack "Kraft In Color."

I stamped the sentiment using the "Fabulous Four" Stamp set.  A twine cord was knotted and added at the top of the card and two Soft Suede candy dots were added in the corners.

For My Wonderful Mother-PP242

April 26, 2016

WOW!  This week flew by!  It is Sunday and time for another fabulous challenge at The Paper Players!  The super talented, Ann is our hostess this week!  We can't wait to see all your fabulous creations!

My card is for Mother's Day.  My mom loves green so, I wanted it to reflect Springtime, too!  I know she will cherish it and I can't wait to send it to her.

I used Pistachio Pudding and Blushing Bride on my card.  The base card is white.  I really love how the pink and green pop off the white.  The Blushing Bride scalloped oval was cut using a punch.  The inside oval was made using a retired embossing folder by Stampin' Up!  I trimmed the oval with my paper snips.  I then cut another white oval with the oval punch to put in the middle of the embossed oval.

I stamped three Petite Petals flowers with Rose Red and then punched them out using the matching punch.  I stamped a few Pistachio Pudding leaves in the background using "Summer Silhouettes."   Stampin' Dimensionals were added to make the flowers pop up and a pearl was added in the center of each flower.

A retired Stampin' Up Stamp, "Delightful Dozen" was used for the sentiment.
A row of tiny pearls was added below the sentiment to make it even more feminine.  A matching envelope was created using the envelope liner and Background Designer Series Paper in Blushing Bride.
