Happy Easter PPA193

February 28, 2014

Two posts in one day----WOW!  I am on a roll today.  I have had a few rough days this week.  My knee replacement recovery has been going well.  Just a little set back with pain this week.  I think those muscles, nerves and bones take longer to heal than I would like.  But, I was feeling creative this morning, so I thought I would take advantage of the moment.

The Pals Paper Arts Sketch is awesome this week.  I had so any ideas to fill in those circles, but I kept thinking that I needed to get started on my Easter cards.  What else comes to mind besides Peeps?!?!?  I think they are so cute and you always see such fun ideas to use them in Easter decorating.  So, here is my take on the Pals Sketch this week.  Hope it makes you smile!!!!

Hooray For Today CCMC292

February 28, 2014

It is very hard to believe that it is the last day of February!  Time just flies----
Seems like we just took down the Christmas decorations.  I know for most people that this winter has been very longggg and difficult.  So many storms predicted all over the country today.  Come on Spring!!!!!

I LOVED the colors in the Create With Connie and Mary Color Challenge this week.  Summer Starfruit is not a color that I would generally adore, but it is one of my favorite colors now.   I will be sad when it is a retired color.  Basic Black always makes a statement on its own, but add Pistachio Pudding with it and you have a winner.

Zoo Babies PP184

I am still catching up from being gone for the weekend.  I loved the simplicity of The Paper Players Sketch Challenge this week, and decided to play with some paper stacks I have been saving.  I seem to have a huge collection of papers and I decided I need to start using some of them.  My favorite colors are all the brights.  I especially love red and turquoise.  I found some more plaid papers (LOVE them) and decided to use them to make a fun card for the challenge.

So many of my friends are having GRAND babies, so I always need a baby card.  ENJOY!

We are so excited because we are expecting two new GRAND babies this summer.  The first one is due in July.  It is going to be a surprise, so I made a card for them.  I am also entering this in the Sunday Stamps Sketch Challenge.  The sketch was perfect for the stamp and I wanted to make it gender friendly!  :)  Hope you enjoy my take on the sketch!

I am in love with the colors for the Dynamic Duos Challenge this week.  I bought this stamp and have never used it.  I think the colors are so fun and vibrant.  I hope you enjoy my old phone!  I spent hours and hours on a phone just like this one!

Living Out Loud PPA 192

February 21, 2014

I am off to Glen Ella Spring Inn in Clarkesville, Georgia with my girlfriends for the weekend.  I am so excited to see them and spend quality time with them.  It is our once a year getaway and I cherish every moment!

My first project for today is to make a card for the Pals Paper Arts.  I am in LOVE with the Kaleidoscope Paper and for some reason I was reminiscing about my younger days and how important it was to buy records.  This paper set makes me think of a time gone by, so, with that being said, I created this card.

February 20, 2014

One more day until I head to the mountains with my crafty friends for a FUN FILLED weekend of Scrapbooking and Card Making!  I am soooooo excited!!!!

Talk about Last Minute, Lucy!  I have a little over an hour to submit my card to the Fabulous Dynamic Duos Team this week.  I have to admit, the Basic Black and Daffodil Delight are very difficult for me to work with.  If you aren't from Indiana, this would sound crazy, but all I see is --Purdue--- when I put these two colors together.  Ha Ha!  Spoken like a true INDIANA HOOSIERS!  Cream and Crimson all the way for me!!!!!!!

Really, I love the colors together for a card and hope you will enjoy mine!  Lots of bling was added for a very special friend that loves bling and bees!

Two posts in one day!  WOW!  I haven't done that in a longggg time.  I was supposed to be organizing my supplies, but I got sidetracked and made a few cards.  Ha Ha!  My priorities are always in a different order other than organizing-----cleaning my craft space------etc.

Happy Birthday NAC77

February 19, 2013

Wow!  Another beautiful day in GA!!!!  I went to Physical Therapy this morning and I have spent most of the day organizing the supplies I want to pack to go to my scrapping weekend with my crafty girlfriends!  I am SOOOOO excited!  I have been in the house for almost six weeks with my knee replacement and I am slowly trying to get back in the swing of life.  I am doing very well, but I get tired very easily.  I know this weekend will be good for my soul and I know my dear friends will help me with anything that I need done.

I wanted to make a card for the Nacho Average Challenge, so I took a break from my organizing and created this card.  I absolutely LOVE the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack in the Celebrate the Everyday Catalog.  They are my absolute favorite colors.  Two of the Design Team members used the same papers, but I tried to put a different take on my card.  That is what I enjoy about card making--- If you give everyone the same papers it is amazing to see what people can come up with.  No two cards are ever the same!

February 12, 2014

Well, it happened.  The sleet started at 2:00 a.m.  It is still sleeting.  We are stranded at home and probably will be for a few days. It is like a ghost town in Atlanta.

I made a card for the Nacho Average Challenge this morning. I love the colors. I pulled out on of my favorite stamp sets, Regarding Dahlias.   Maybe it is because I am dreaming about Spring.
